Nash Skeptical Of Suns' Plan To Sit Him

Suns' point guard Steve Nash is skeptical of the team's plan to rest him more this season, according to East Valley Tribune.

Phoenix General Manager Steve Kerr plans to rest Nash more this season, perhaps limiting him to 70 games in 2008-09.

"We’ll see how it goes," Nash said upon hearing of Kerr's plan. "Those are great intentions, but is it realistic? We’ll see."

Nash played in 81 of 82 games last season, and while he's open to the idea of resting more, he seems to believe that 70 is a low number.

Hornets Sign Sean Marks

"We are excited for Sean to join our team," said Hornets' General Manager Jeff Bower, who did not release terms of the contract citing team policy. "He is a veteran leader who has been on winning teams and will be a great addition to our frontcourt."

Singletary Happy To Be In Phoenix

Sean Singletary is happy to be in Phoenix after being traded twice already since being drafted out of Virginia in June, according to Arizona Republic.

"It's kind of surreal," Singletary said. "I haven't been on an elite team since I was 12."

The Kings took Singletary with the 42nd pick in the draft and then traded him to the Rockets in the Ron Artest deal.

"All I can do now is bring energy and play smart basketball. Hopefully, things will work out for me," Singletary said. "I know it's going to be an uphill battle. I've always been able to find a way."

"You're only a rookie once," he added. "I want to learn from all these guys and incorporate it into my game. I'm going to take my time but work with a sense of urgency, too. I'm going to come and give it all I've got."
